According to Al-Watan Daily, the competition will continue until Wednesday, November 29.
Forty eight contestants are attending this stage in six categories, according to the organizers.
The categories include memorization of the entire Quran, and memorization of 24, 18, and 12 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Book.
Three Quran recitation and memorization experts form the contest’s panel of judges.
The Sultan Qaboos Center for Sciences and Culture organizes the competition annually.
Winners of this year’s edition will be announced by the center’s director at a press conference on Wednesday.
The competition is aimed at promoting Quran memorization
