According to Russia al-Yawm, the ministry said the museum will open its doors to visitors on October 28 in cooperation with the tourism ministry.
On the same day, Damascus will host an international conference on role of museums in enhancing national harmony.
The national museum in Damascus was closed in 2012, a year after the start of foreign-backed civil war in the Arab country.
The authorities feared the invaluable data-x-items in the museum would be in danger.
Over the past months, Syria’s army and allied forces have managed to retake most of the country’s territories from the grip of terrorist groups.
