Scholars, thinkers and Islamic jurists from 46 countries are taking part in the conference, organized in cooperation with the Islamic University of Medina.
Hatam bin Hassan Marzouqi, the university’s chancellor, said a number of issues related to marriage, fasting, banking, and practical and theoretical measures to confront extremism will be discussed at the five-day forum.
He added that more than 50 papers will be presented at the scholarly event.
