The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) voiced its strong disapproval and condemnation of the Iraqi poet Saadi Youssef’s blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a poem contained in his recent collection published in London.

ISESCO said that the poet’s disrespectful and sacrilegious poem on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is to be deplored by every Muslim and by every intellectual, poet and artist in the Islamic world as an expression of naked hate and heinous immorality, which has nothing to do with poetic creativity.

On this occasion, ISESCO urged  unions of writers and intellectuals and cultural organizations  in the Member States to take a firm stand against such a deviant behavior and gross disrespect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
