Quran Copies On Display at Sharjah Int’l Book Fair

Copies of the Holy Quran have been put on display at the 33rd edition of international book exhibition in Sharjah, the UAE.


According to Al-Bayan newspaper, the exhibition was opened on November 5 with the participation of 1256 publication institutes from 59 countries.

The copies of the Divine Book are on display by the representatives of Muhammad bin Rashid Quran Publication Center of the UAE at Dubai Media Institute Section of the exhibition.

Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasemi, ruler of Sharjah visited the exhibition and was gifted a precious Quran copy.

In this visit, Faisal bin Heidar, executive director of the publication and distribution section of the institute introduced the activities of the Quranic center to the ruler.

He said that the center is a pioneer in printing and publication of the Holy Quran copies and distributes the copies in various Islamic countries.

The center has published the Mus'haf of the UAE called Mus'haf of Sheikh Maktum bin Rashid Al Maktum inscribed by Ahmad Bustan, Syrian calligrapher, he added.

Publication of the Holy Quran copies in Othman Taha script is among the activities of the center.

The book fair was organized on the occasion of commemorating the selection of Sharjah as the cultural capital of the Islamic World in 2014.

The expo Center of the city is hosting the exhibition until November 15.
