Worshiper Traffic at Prophet's Mosque Reaches 5 Million in a Single Week

IQNA – The Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia welcomed an estimated 5,119,000 worshippers between December 8th and 15th.

 

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque, the governing body responsible for the mosque's operations orchestrated the influx of devotees as 501,938 individuals  visited Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) tomb.

Additionally, 235,341 devotees had the privilege of praying at the revered Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, a sacred area located within the mosque.

Elderly and individuals with special needs were given access to designated areas, ensuring their comfort and ease of movement. Translation services in various languages were made available to 87,446 people from diverse nationalities, according to Saudi Gazette.

The mosque's library attracted 13,584 visitors. Exhibitions and museums within the mosque's premises drew in 4,783 curious minds eager to delve into the rich history and heritage of the site.

Additionally, 8,638 individuals utilized phone services and other communication channels to connect with loved ones or seek assistance.

To further enhance the spiritual experience of the mosque's visitors, the authority distributed over 111,600 bottles of Zamzam water, a sacred water renowned for its purity and believed to possess healing properties.

The authority also provided 92,992 Iftar meals while also gifting 42,125 presents to worshipers and visitors.
