Turkish MP’s Quranic Reaction to Iran’s ‘True Promise’ Operation
Mehmet Sait Yaz, a member of the Justice and Development Party representing the people of Diyarbakir, in a speech at the parliament read out the first verse from Surah Al-Fil of the Holy Quran, “Have you not seen how Allah dealt with the companions of the Elephant?” to appreciate Iran for carrying out the operation.
He said that while the US and the Israelis said no attack can be launched on Israel, the Zionist regime was targeted by Iranian missiles.
He thanked and congratulated the Iranian people and government for the successful military operation.
On April 1, the Israeli regime committed a terrorist attack against Iran’s diplomatic premises in the Syrian capital Damascus.
The Israeli attack resulted in the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), his deputy, General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, and five of their accompanying officers.
Retaliating against the attack, the IRGC targeted the occupied territories on April 13 with a barrage of drones and missiles. The retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation True Promise, inflicted damage on Israeli military bases across the occupied territories.

Following the reprisal, Iran both relayed the message that it viewed the matter as “concluded,” and also warned of a “bigger” response in case the regime or its allies target Iran.
